base x script wipes the unit

Hi there,

So I downloaded the new base x script as I am a fan of Stray's work and it looked good.

Which indeed it is.

Only problem is, having loaded it up in live, it has flashed my base back to factory status without so much as a disclaimer or heads up...
Which is a pity as I had the other 6 user pages set up to run reaper. All of them are now gone (sure, I know, I should have had them backed up, and I didn't, but even so).

It's also a pity a I don't really want to have to reset my base and load a new configuration through the editor every time i want to switch daws. Especially as I am often using both Live and reaper at once, streaming audio from one to the other, and wtiching between different base hardware modes to control different functions.

The way I had this set up with the stock script was I sacrifced a couple of the buttons and turned them into base hardware bank change buttons. I was intending to do the same with the base x script, scrapping the '8' record button and using it to cycle through the hardware banks, then using clyphx to call session and overdub record on the utility page of the script. Which would work fine if the bloody thing didn't wipe everything every time it starts.

Is there a way of turning the factory reset off? Or of allowing the user to define what settings the reset uses? Maybe by pointing the script at a saved JSon file from the editor?

Cheers,

Jonathan
