Using the optical encoder from a Pioneer CDJ1000 MK2 with the Livid Brain V2

I recently got my hands on a Pioneer CDJ1000 MK2 and i want to use the Jogwheel as a controller. I have attached a picture of the schematic of the encoder. What would I need to do to get this to work with the brain V2. I tried connecting the V +5 to the VCC on one of the analog headers, but it didn't work.
