Hi everyone,
I've been having problems with my CNTRL:R - it just started randomly (as far as I can tell) the other day. When I plug in the USB, the top right few backlights turn on as normal, but nothing else will happen. Won't send or receive any MIDI, and the encoder lights etc don't respond to local control.
I know it's not an issue with my Mac, as my Base has continued to work without a problem. I wondered about enough power getting to the CNTRL:R through the USB buses so I reset the SMC and PRAM, no change.
In the past there have been occasional issues - I would have to use a particular cable, and plug into a particular USB port, to get it working. If using the Base and CNTRL:R together, I would also sometimes have to plug in the CNTRL:R first, so perhaps not enough power is reaching it? I have a 2011 macbook pro so it should be a problem from there...
At the moment I have been able to put it into bootleg mode (enough power from USB to do that) and have been using a MIDI - to - USB cable, which is ok as a workaround for now but doesn't really solve the problem and isnt idea for lots of reasons.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
Chris
