Ok, so basically what I'm trying to do is set up the grid with a few different "zones", much like the Ableton Live remote script provides with the 3 playing zones. I can make the patterns that I want in the editor, but then every time actually press the buttons, the LEDs turn off (or whatever color I have in the first position of the Color/Velocity Map).
What I'd like to do is just have them remain on the color that I set in the editor all the time, instead of responding to the velocity map. Is there a way to do this or am I missing something? I don't really see the point of being able to set up LED patterns in the editor is, if they will always be overridden by the velocity/color map.
Overall, I'm having a hard time understand how the custom LED mapping works or can be put to practical use. I'm sure there is something I'm just not getting.
